3 miles ran, 1.5 walked.  Love my running partner to death, but too reliant on her.  We were planning on doing 4 or 5, but she was in a time crunch so we only ran 3.  Then I felt I needed more exercise so I walked for 20 minutes, not sure how far, maybe 1.5 miles? I should have ran more instead of walked!

Today was a good trial.  Heather & I decided we want to get in some running on our weight lifting day.  So we went to the track for 1/2 hr. before our 6 am weight class.  We did timed 200 (47?), 400 (1:55? can't quite remember, Heather was timing, I need to bring my watch next time), 800 (3:50 I DO remember this time) meters.  BUT we walked too much between runs and didn't get in as many reps as we would have liked.  But it was a good trial.  Next time, more running, less talking...

5 miles w/ Heather today.  Pretty flat run, not our usual 5 miler.  The wind was kicking.  I was TIRED this morning, but pushed through it.  Glad I went out, good run- again felt I could've gone longer.  I know I need to work on just running at least 4-5 miles at least 5 days a week.  My problem is I want to do it all- weights, spin class, walk, etc. - but when I do then I don't run as much as I'd like and don't have energy for it all! Ah- to find the balance?

The early bird gets the worm, and the late bird gets HEATSTROKE! No, luckily I didn't get heatstroke.  But I was foolish...again.... I thought since St. George was having a "cool front"- ha ha.. that I would be OK going out later in the day.  Also- this is how I rationalized my laziness this morning! Anyway- out at 11am for 4-5 miles in the rolling Bloomington Hills.  Ended up being just over 4 w/ too many walk breaks.  Too hot! Oh how the heat affects me...

Glad I got out regardless- have ran everyday this week, the first week in awhile.  Happy about that.  Going long tomorrow w/ Heather before I leave town for a week next week.  Challenge will be to keep up the running solo while in SLC next week.

Great run this morning out to the Arizona state line.  Its funny how you can feel so different from one day to the next.  Yesterday I struggled with a 4 miler and today I had a great 8 miler?! It really helped to go out nice and early (5:45 am) while it was still cool.  Heather & I were actually planning a 10 miler, but those babies- they can really put a kink in your schedule ya know... Heather's 1 yr. old needed some attention this morning causing Heather to run late and she had to be back home by a certain time for hubby to get to work.  What a trooper Heather is, running on no sleep! Anyway- I was still satisfied w/ 8.  Great run, finally getting pumped back up on running again.  My motivation had been lacking since I ran the 1/2 a month ago, but I feel the desire coming back- yah!
