Pump class at gym this morning.

Tonight at 10pm my family is doing the Chelsi 5k Run/Walk which is a memorial run for Chelsi Petersen who passed away last month.  Today would have been her 21st BD.  She comes from a wonderful family.  I've gotten to know Lisa (Chelsi's mom) the past few years as our 2 boys played sports together and Lisa & I have been Room Moms together at school.  Chelsi was in her Freshman year at BYU and was an amazing athlete and track star.  My heart aches for the Petersen family.  I think having a run on her BD is a great way to honor her and show her family lots of love and support on a tough day.  You can check out info about the race at www.runforchelsi.com

 Evening Update:

Went to Run for Chelsi 5k to show our support for the Petersen family.  Jim had to work so it was the kids & I.  Lots of friends from the ward & neighborhood there as well.  It was a great turnout, hundreds of participants.  We did a couple laps around the neighborhood that Chelsi grew up in and people were outside their homes handing out drinks, cheering, playing music, etc.  What a wonderful support for the family! They had a fun raffle at the end too.  The community stepped forward and donated so many items, including 21 gift cert's for Pizza Factory each worth $21 since it is Chelsi's 21st BD today.  I hope my kids remember this event when they get older and the special occasion that it was.  I hesitate to even mark this as a "race" because I ran/walked with a good friend and we weren't being competitive AT ALL.  The point was to just be there.  It wasn't even timed, nor were bibs given out.  I just wanted to socialize and take it all in- slowly.  Saw Clyde & Logan cruising into the finish- FIRST of course! Yay! Go FRB!

Good job on pump. So tragic what happened to her. The race is such a great way to remember and pay respect to her!

Christi, sad story, such a Kool picture of her flying down the track. Always important to remember friends, and especially runners in the running family. Running comes to and end for all of us, but, we can do our best to pass it on.

Good luck at Bryce, I will try and get some pictures of the bloggers coming in. Thanks for the props on the running. (blogging about biking is not very interesting to other runners).

Stay Kool, B of BS Rools out

Hey how are ya, I haven't been running or walking at all. Jamie had her surgery and we were in the hospital for a week but we're getting back to normal now so it's time to get back out there! Life is still a little crazy! Hey what happened to the blog I can't get passed the sign in or what ever it is? I only got to you through the recent comments but I can't get on to the main blog list?

Great job! Some races are more for they experience rather than for time.
