Happy day! I got out of bed this morning! That is QUITE an accomplishment for me lately. I have had one seriously UNMOTIVATED and SICK winter!! I went to the 6am pump class at the gym.  It kicked my butt, but some parts of the class were actually enjoyable.  I have started to fulfill one of my New Yrs. resolutions and I have already gotten my workout for the day in, I feel great! No miles yet this week, but I know they'll come.  Plan to run w/ Heather tomorrow.  I'll get in 6 mi. tomorrow- hold me to it.

Thanks so much for your vote of confidence. I'm really going to try this week. Good job getting up and going to the gym - what is a pump class? I have YW today, so I will try to get 6 miles with you tomorrow!!

From Christi on Tue, Jan 08, 2008 at 12:33:07

Pump is a weight lifting class. I used to go pretty regularly and quit about 6 months ago. I just couldn't seem to get in 20+ miles a week and keep up the energy for the class. (I have gone QUITE soft since quitting the class!) My New Yrs. goal is to go at least 1x a week and take it from there and keep up my miles. Just need to kick this infection- day 1 of antibotics- should be better for tomorrow so we can both do 6!! Have fun at YW! What exactly is your calling? I had some fun callings in YW, but its been awhile.. currently in RS and liking it.

Good to see your feeling better, would not want to miss out on the fun with the other fast running chickas at painters. Have a good race and have fun.

Stay Cool, B of BS Rools out

By the way, I expect a great effort from everyone at painters and earning commando points.

Oh geez! You're still sick? That darn germ is like bad company that just won't leave! That reminds me of something....I have a friend whose parents-in-law came to visit them right after they got married and stayed for 4 MONTHS! Can you believe that? She was expecting them to just stay for the weekend! And to add insult to injury, the father-in-law confiscated the remote control! He carried it around in his pocket. I would've said something, ("Leave!") but she felt too shy because she was new in the family and everything. So there's your random thought for the day...

Good job pumping the iron today Christi!

Great job getting in a work out and I am glad you are feeling better. Have a great run tomorrow!!

From Michelle on Tue, Jan 08, 2008 at 22:10:42

Well you must be feeling a little better today since you made it too the gym, that is a good sign, hope all goes well with the run tomorrow!! I'm still just crossing my fingers that I don't get McCall's "gomboo" if she's not better I'd better take her to the doc, and I hate going to the office. I feel like you get sick in the waiting room.... oh what is the difference, I work in an ER!

From MarcieJ on Tue, Jan 08, 2008 at 22:14:21

Good job on pump class, I used to go to one at the old golds when my friend taught. It was tough! Do you still meet with a personal trainer?

From Christi on Tue, Jan 08, 2008 at 23:14:49

Brent- we're going to miss you at Painter's - have to catch you at the next FRB party!

Lybi- love the in-law story, you crack me up! Curious to hear how your run goes after visit with Chiro...

Thanks Jody- you are my example! I want to build up to 7 miles like you!

Michelle- I'm glad you're still resisting "da gunk". I know what you mean about Dr. offices. I feel the same way- and I'm always afraid Jim's going to bring home something from the ICU to infect us- wait...maybe he already has! LOL

Marcie- Who's your friend who taught at Gold's? That's where I go. I slacked off w/ the trainer over the holidays- but I just made an appt. with her today. Must be all the New Yrs. resolutions- she was booked 2 weeks out!
