Steve Hooper has offered to host the FRB Painter's pre-race party at his house! I think this would be a great alternative to Pasta Factory.  Check it out on the discussion forum.

Plan for today & tomorrow.. run easy this afternoon w/ Sara.  Run long tomorrow w/ Sole Sisters.

UPDATE:  Ran & walked 2.85 with Sara in evening.  Nice time- haven't ran with her since before the holidays so it was good catch up time.  Also it was fairly mellow- just what I wanted to stretch the legs and rest up before long run tomorrow.

Just read the NEWS!!! I'm sooo excitted that you are running the half! I'm hoping that you can give me a little push and get me a great time!! As far as the shoes go, they are sooo hard to figure out. I had Steve send me some and I tried a new pair out today, felt o.k for new shoes on a long run so if you get new ones before and try them out at least once I think you'll be fine. I think that I spend entirely too much on shoes, but if they save my body I suppose it's worth it. I loved the asics speedstar II that I got then end of Nov. my favorite shoes I have ever bought, but I didn't know that they weren't made for daily use and have broken down fast! The shoes that I wore today are a Saucony pro grid and they felt o.k. but I wish I could find one like the speedstar but more durable. I think if Steve is in the store Sat. after the half I'm going to have him really analize my needs, feet, gait ect. so I'll know for future refrence because shoes to me are like needing a haircut... you wake up one moring and realize it's been to long and you have to get it cut TODAY, but can't get an appointment. I wake up one day and feel like I have to have shoes and then it's several weeks before I can get some where to get them!!

Well I've been a little long winded so good luck with the shoes and the run today and tomorrow and I'll see you in a week!!! YEA!!

I am glad you are running the Painter's half. I didn't know if I wanted to run the half or the 5k, but I am going to run the half. It was fun to see you over at Bare Foot the other day. I hope to see you around again sometime.
