4:00 pm UPDATE: Michelle's group- we DID NOT get selected for Moab!!!!!! BUMMER!!!! And I was SOO looking foward to it! I just got the email.... Maybe Hurricane 1/2 in May?

This was a "mental strength building" run today.  Met up w/ Heather & Buffy and decided to do Foremaster.  Lots of incline and fast partners.  We did 5.5 in about 9:27 pace.  I think it was even faster than that because one chica ran to the gas station bathroom and I took off 2 minutes for that (forgot to stop my watch while waiting for her), but it may have been even longer.  So 9:27 is conservative- may have been closer to 9:15.

Anyway, I hit the wall at 5 miles and had to walk for just about 10 seconds.  I hate when I do that, makes me feel weak! I feel a nap coming on later today.Mondays- yuck! At least I started it with a run!

I am looking forward to my sister & her family (4 kids) coming in town tomorrow night and staying with us until Friday when we'll all head to SLC to my parents.  So later this week and all of next week my blogging may get really inconsistent.  However, I'm determined to stay active even if you don't hear about it until after the fact.

MERRY CHRISTMAS DEAR BLOGGIES!!!!

I agree with Jody--that is a GREAT time for Foremaster! Have a great week with the fam, and we'll see ya later...

Formaster is a huge hill to run up - I'm impressed! It does feel good to start Monday off with a good run. Enjoy your company and your trip up north.

From Michelle on Mon, Dec 17, 2007 at 17:47:07

I don't even know how you take on that hill.... That's probably why your so fast and strong though! I should try running it with you one day, ( when I get fast and strong!) Nice Job you SUPER girl!!! Well I'll see what everyone wants to do about Painters, I could do it, I don't think that it will be pretty though. Definatly a traing run for me too. hope you got to bed, I blog all night when I'm on the night shift. Definatly a sickness of my own!

From Christi on Tue, Dec 18, 2007 at 10:03:07

Thanks Jody, Lybi, Andee, Michelle- Foremaster is a killer, but any of you could do it! (I've seen Jody fly up it!) James- thanks for the sympathy, I know you little woman is bummed too...We'll just have to make a plan B- nothing stops the fast running chics!

From Christi on Tue, Dec 18, 2007 at 10:05:08

Sorry James I'm an idiot- for for the typo, but second because I was thinking you were Lybi's James until I clicked on your blog. Sorry! Nice to meet you and I see Allison is your woman!! Cool blog, I like the runner guy with the fast moving legs!

From Lybi on Tue, Dec 18, 2007 at 10:47:30

Hehehe. My James is James W. He's a sweetie. "James" is a speedy guy with a big attitude and achilles tendonitis.

You know what though, we should get Allison on the blog. I have no doubt she is an extremely patient, long-suffering (hehe), wonderful woman. She'd make a great distance runner.
