12 miles w/ Buff, Heather & Tammy this morning.  I ran in my new shoes.  Steve hooked me up w/ Mizunos and some great socks.  It was scary running 12 in brand new shoes- but NO problems- it was great!  The run was tough for me today, esp. at the 6 mile mark.  Once I got to 7 miles I was OK for the rest of the run.  I just have a 6 mile block lately. At least I know to be mentally prepared for that Saturday.  Our average pace was 9:55, which seems kinda slow- but oh well.  At least I know I can run the distance for Painter's next Sat.  Hopefully I won't be too sore this week.  So far, so good!

Awesome Job! I run in Mizuno's and love them. Once I found a shoe I liked, I just kept buying the same one. They come in different colors which changes it up but I am always glad that I know exactly what I need. You will do awesome next week and have a great time. You are more prepared than you think!

Hey great run today! You did today what I have been working the last month in a half to do! I think I am going to be holding on to dear life to keep up with ya!

Glad you liked the new shoes you'll be all set to go next week. I'm gonna need some advice what to wear next week, I have no idea how warm/cool to be prepared for. What did you wear on your run today?

Great job Christi! 12 in new shoes--aren't you the adventurous one! This is a good sign, though, you've been due for some good luck with shoes for a change...

Nice run today! I am glad the shoes went well. I wear Mizunos as well and love them, getting excited to meet you next week!

Hey Jody & Marcie- good to know I got the shoes of the champs!

Brent- thanks for your encouragement- I need it for this race!

Michelle- as far as what to wear- we started at 6am and I wore too much! I wore a dry release long sleeve shirt, fleece, gloves & headband and really warm pants. I think Sat. I'll just wear a long sleeve tech shirt and pants- no gloves or headband. Its always a guessing game- I have a hard time deciding what to wear too!
