Fun race with my son today.  Cool park that I'd never been to before (great playground with new, fun equiptment, spinning stuff). Small race (maybe 30 people?), think I was like 2nd or 3rd to finish in 5k- what a feeling!! Not a PR, but didn't expect it with my training lately.  Out & back, but that was Ok given it was a fun winding paved trail with decent scenery.  Race started at 8, got hot after a couple miles. Its was pushing 80 degrees by 8:30.  Nice breakfast burritos afterwards included in race registration and cute tank tops for ladies. My prizes for places, but raffled off some prizes afterwards. Toby came in top for kids and in the top 10 for finishers- time was like 27:50.  What a proud Mom I am! My friend Trina organized this race- way to go, nicely done!

(never know what to log my miles under...threshold? VO2 max? It was definitely faster than my marathon pace)

Fast Running Sole Sista chicka, hey, keep blogging when you move, they have running on the east coast also. Good luck. By the way, as I have said several times, you have much potential if you decide to train more. Nice race today, good to get the new generation of runners started early.

Whoa! You moved to Florida??? Hope you're getting settled and meeting tons of wonderful people--especially awesome running partners.

Wish you would have moved up here to Boise. We're enjoying it. It's nice to be closer to family. But, no running partners yet.
