Patting myself on the back for getting out tonight!  I slept in and missed my 6am run.  No partner to run with this morning and no motivation to get out in the dark & cold.  Then rushed to get kids to school, vote and onto Vegas for a mortgage convention.  Didn't get back until late in afternoon.  Hubby was a sweetie and shuffled kids around for me today and took care of dinner (pizza).  After dinner and full of pizza I decided it was time to sneak away for a run.  I'm usually wiped out by this time of day, but I felt good so I decided to go.  It was a great evening run! One month after the marathon and I think this is the first run since the marathon where I have felt really good. It was dark and the temp was perfect and cool.  I took the IPOD and elected not to take a watch-didn't want to worry about time tonight.  I started off on one of my usual 4 mile routes knowing I would want to make it longer.  I was able to extend it a mile making it into a nice new loop with a view! Looking forward to running this loop more often.

You are such a cutie! So glad you like the socks. :) I love it when you prove Sasha wrong (don't tell him I said that!) First by doing so well in your marathon, and now by running well on a pizza dinner. Ha! I fully expect to get into trouble over this comment. We'll see.

I won't tell if you won't tell...nothing..nothing cracks me up more than coming upon accidentally comments of people worried about being caught by Sasha.....he is such a drill sargent...but we all appreciate it..somebody has to be the bad guy. I read some fast guys running book about how sometimes a Big Mac isn't going to give you an immediate bad run but obviously the guy didn't eat them a lot...just every once in awhile.

I'm glad you had a good evening run, right now they are my favorite. Right next to the oh so nice afternoon runs I've been having the last two days! I'm thinking in the morning I'm going to wait untill about 11:00 and hopefully it will be warm and nice by then! Good luck on the gym tomorrow, I'm sure it's going to be sooo fun! A new adventure with a little self torture, I like it!

Great job on the post-pizza run. Your motivation was much better than mine today! Despite going home in the middle of the day to get workout clothes, I just got home from happy hour (9:30!) and obviously did not run today. I had a glass of wine, gnocchi, and several bites of several desserts and wasn't about to run at 9:30 pm-oops!
