Back to real life today after a WONDERFUL week at Lake Powell.  We stayed on a houseboat in a Cedar Canyon (N. Lake Powell)  Not much beach, nowhere to run.  I swam, wakeboarded, wakesurfed and tried running in the water (my husband got a laugh out of that).  Nice active week with my family (sister & brother and their spouses & kids & mom & dad- my one sis who lives in NC couldn't make it- sad!) .  I hope not running doesn't negatively affect my marathon too much, its like tapering too soon.  Usually when I go to Lake Powell, we have to go into the marina for something so I brought running clothes to run around the marina- but we never ended up going in.  Weather was perfect, water was glass.  Great time! I finished New Moon and have started Eclipse- what will I do when these books are over?

Ran 8.5 today, my left knee was a little sore at mile 5.  This used to happen early in my marathon training when I'd get over 5 miles.  I guess the knee is trying to argue with jumping back into training after a week off.  I just stopped to stretch a little and its OK.  It never really got any worse during the run.  So I'm not too worried.

Yay! Christi's back in the 'hood! What a great vacation!! Sounds like it was so fun! Nice run today, too...that's longer than I've ever run in my life. St. George is going to be awesome.

I think New Moon was my favorite. Glad you liked it too.

Welcome back! Way to get out and run today. I think if you do a good solid week this week and then taper down next week, you should be just fine. I'm jealous of your vacation though! Sounds wonderful. I read your blog about the books being at Costco and ran to buy them that night! I finished them too fast and have read everything on the website too now. I'm surprised at Lybi liking New Moon the best...a little too depressing for me. :) I think Twilight was my fave. Anyway, back to reality! We'll see you Thursday?

Hey your back! Hope you had a wonderful week! It sounded awesome! Lake Powell in the fall is by far the best time to be there! Sounds like the reading is coming along and plan for the withdrawls when it's over! But like Mik'L said there is at least a day or two worth of stuff on the internet site to help you through! Well hope all goes well this week and next, only 2more weeks!!! It's snuck up quick!!!! I'm so excitted to come down! Callzee is my daughter she's ten. She begged for a blog and has started doing a mile a few times a week and wants to do a 5k this summer. She is sooo cute when she types up her blog!!! She also will be faster than me soon, did a mile at the track the other night 9:07. That was pushing it but she has only been at it the last month. If I can't find a running partner, I'm gonna create one! (He, He). Well have a good day!

I am glad you had a good time Lake Powell. I hope your runs go well this week and next.

I finished Eclipse on Saturday. I put my thoughts, predictions, and questions on my blog today. But, don't read it until you've finished. I don't want to spoil it for you.

Hey Girls- thanks for all the "welcome backs" its good to be back. Can't wait to see you - Michelle & Lybi (and whoever else can come) in a couple weeks! Crumpy as soon as I finish Eclipse I'll be sure to check out your blog! Now that I'm back from vacation, real life is sucking away my reading time. I'm going through Eclipse much slower than I did the other 2. Mik'L- you will see me this Thurs! Looking forward to it!
